“For God says, ‘At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.’ Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

Lent has roots in fasting the 40 days preceding Easter weekend, with the goal of spiritual renewal. It has come to be a season of denying outward sin or pleasures in order to trust God more fully. This series will guide followers of Jesus toward knowing and receiving that saving help from God.
