Kids Ministry

Elementary Kids (K–5th grade)

Kids ministry is a place to have fun, meet friends, and learn how great God is! This is a kid-friendly worship service geared just for kids. We partner with Orange Curriculum to bring a new and fun experience for kids alongside parents or guardians who attend 8:45 a.m. Modern or 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship.

Kids will worship God through age-appropriate song and dance. They will learn about God through Bible stories and small group discussions in fun, kid-friendly experiences. They’ll play games which provide a fun way for the kids to use what they have learned. Kids are always checked in and out for safety.

Parent cues are given to parents to take home to continue using what the kids have learned. This is a way to partner both at church and at home so kids get a better understanding of three basic truths:

1. I need to make wise choices.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

During 8:45 a.m. Modern Worship, kids will meet in the upstairs area of the Family Life Center. During 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship, kids will meet in the basement fellowship hall. Both kids worship services have the same fun curriculum, each with awesome leaders and helpers to guide kids in being what God wants them to be.

Nursery and Pre-K Ministry

A nursery is provided during both 8:45 a.m. Modern and 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship.

To provide our children and youth a safe and nurturing environment, Leeds First Methodist Church follows the guidelines of Safe Sanctuaries, a ministry of the United Methodist Church for volunteers and staff.
